Adding Opensky-net to an already running PiAware

5 years 11 months ago #602 by Olivier
Hi,

I have a FlightAware setup running on a Raspberry Pi.
I would like to feed OpenSky network.
Can I add feeding to OpenSky on top of FA?

Will the install script work with no impact to FlightAware feeding?

Thank you,
Olivier

Hi Olivier,
if you are using the official FlightAware installation you could easily add the Opensky feeder by following this guide OpenSky feeder installation guide . FlightAware performs some calculations for multilateration (MLAT) on your Raspi. If you are adding several other feeders doing the same, you may mix MLAT data causing strange results on your web interface. The OpenSky feeder doesn't perform MLAT calculations and does not disturb your system in that way.

Ok, thank you for the confirmation.

I'll give it a go over the weekend.

Just did the setup as indicated. Super easy, took 3 minutes and worked immediately.

Good job on the setup process!
