Authentication not working; only getting 100 credits

I'm unable to get more than 100 API credits per day.  The system is treating me as an anonymous user, even though I'm including my credentials in my requests.  Here's an example of what my requests look like:

https://spiel:password@

Of course, "password" is replaced with my actual password. 

I searched the forum and have noticed several similar postings over the past year or so, but the replies to those postings haven't helped with my problem.

I would greatly appreciate any info on what I might be doing wrong.  Thanks!

Thanks for the response. I'm now getting 400 credits, instead of the 100 that I was getting before. However, I'm a registered OpenSky user, so I believe the limit should be 4000. Is there anything else I can do?
