Range statistics - strange behavior

6 years 4 months ago - 6 years 4 months ago #285 by MDA0803
Hi
Range statistics seems to be reset randomly (according to time of activating feeder). Is there any way to reset range stats of all feeders located in the same same timezone at the same time?
Fe. shortly after daily stats are ready?

Hi MDA0803,

they should not reset randomly. The range information (and many others) become recalculated during our nightly reprocessing of the last 24h of data. But the reset should happen more or less at the same time for all sensors.

Do you still observe this effect? And can you post a screenshot?

Cheers,
Matthias

Hi
Today range plots and stats were not reset :) .
But...
It looks that they also stopped to be updated :( .
Some links to screenshots, also from my local dump:
screenshots.firefox.com/vgJmjWa3uz4E9a1H/192.168.77.128
screenshots.firefox.com/seOykuwURCEVAZsN/opensky-network.org

I can't post more links, Ill try to make one zip.

I found this network when I started to browse jetvision.de . I like stats you deliver, much better than any other site.
I plan to add one more feeder in West Germany but unfortunately I've lost remote control.
Please look at stats from last week, it will proof that range stats were reset randomly (on time of feeding start).

Waiting for reply

Hi Matthias
This is not a big issue, but please have a look what is a problem.
My feeders are relatively new.
Maybe that's the reason.
Anyway thanks for your job.

Hi
I'm afraid that this problem is not so easy to be solved.
Is reset of receiver range set in Crontab?
Or you're using other than linux platform?
Maybe I can help myself to solve it?

Hi Marcin,

the ranges for the current day should only be reset when a new (UTC) day starts. What you are seeing is definitely not intended. I've opened an issue on our internal bug tracker and will investigate this in the near future.

Thank you for reporting!

Best,
Markus

***Unit is Raspberry Pi 3B+ with Raspbian Stretch updated version.

I also noticed that the Range will reset after every half an hour or few hours once which is not 24Hrs time.

The feeder is ONLINE (7/24) which feeds together with FA PiAware, FR24 as well as PF, unfortunately only the opensky network seems offline itself. Really strange until I am thinking of give up of feed to opensky network.

Really no idea what is going on with the OpenSky Network Server.
