Only 1000 requests per day as a feeder

1 year 5 months ago #2173 by neatge
Hello,

i have a question to the API requsts per day.
-OpenSky users have a credit of 1000 API request per day (corresponds to 80 minutes of map usage on the Opensky page roughly).
For higher request loads please contact OpenSky.

-Active contributing OpenSky users are rewarded with 2000 API request per day
(users who have an adsb receiver that is at least 30% online in the current month).
I am a feeder at opensky-network, but I have only 1000 API requests per day.
At a feeder i thnik I should have 3000 requests per day.

My feeder is online since more then a week.
Look at the attatched image.

The request comes from an other IP as the feeder IP.
I think it depends only from the Ueserid which is used for both.
If both use the same credentials and the feeder is online whole the time it should be 3000 requests per day.

Hope you can help me.

Regards Jens

Sorry, I don't fully understand from your description. It is not IP-based. If your account is feeding for more than 30% of the last month (> 9 days), then you should get the extended limits.

Edit: This was inaccurate, it should be 2000 a day in total.

Yes, it is like you discribe. I use the same account for feeding and API, but I have only 1000 request per day.
User candair have the the same problem.
And a 2nd question. At what time the Rate-Limit-Remaining will be reset.

Oh ok, good to know. Thank You. I haven't read the limitation documentation correctly.

Yesterday, I got a response <429> after 1000 requests of the API. Same behaviour as neatge describes.

Yesterday everything worked fine at my site again. The problem might be just on Tuesday.

Not really at my script/site.
At 19:15 there was a 2nd reset yesterday. After this reset the counter starts at 2000. But it should 3000.
